Unbelievable! Real-life hero catches toddler falling from 13th floor balcony, video leaves internet awestruck

A two-year-old girl survived a terrifying fall from the 13th floor of a high-rise in Dombivli, Thane, thanks to the quick-thinking of a passerby. The dramatic rescue, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, with people hailing the man as a real-life hero.

The incident occurred last week in the Devichapada locality. According to PTI, the child, who fell while playing on the balcony of her 13th-floor flat, sustained only minor injuries. Eyewitnesses reported that the toddler slipped, hung precariously from the edge of the balcony for a moment, and then fell.

In the viral video, Bhavesh Mhatre is seen running to catch the child. Although he could not fully grasp her, his intervention broke the fall and significantly reduced the impact when she hit the ground.



Speaking to reporters, Mhatre said, “I was passing by the building and didn’t think twice before moving forward. I was determined to save the child’s life.” He added, “There is no religion greater than courage and humanity.”

A civic official praised Mhatre’s bravery and revealed plans to publicly honour him for his heroic act. Netizens have also lauded his courage, flooding social media with messages of admiration.
