The culprit has been identified as Ankit Toppo, and many people even tagged his Instagram handle in the comment section. The video has triggered sharp outrage online which shows the man vandalising the interiors of a moving Indian train coach, apparently to film a reel.

'Deliberate and performative'
The video shows the man destroying the train's seat by tearing apart seat cushions and ripping out upholstery and throwing the seat cover near the gate. The act appears deliberate and performative, with one of them recording the destruction on a mobile phone. A few of his other aides are also seen laughing in the video.The footage has sparked widespread anger online, with users condemning the act as reckless, unlawful and disrespectful to public property. Many have demanded that authorities identify those involved and take the strictest possible action to deter similar incidents. Netizens have urged Railway authorities to take strict action under Section 147 of the Railways Act, which provides for imprisonment of up to five years for vandalism of railway property.
