A video circulating on Instagram shows a street vendor preparing this peculiar treat. The process begins with a dollop of butter in a pan, followed by milk chocolate bars and a splash of chocolate syrup. A little water is added, and the mixture is stirred into a smooth, creamy consistency. Meanwhile, the momos are deep-fried in a wok. Once crispy, they’re dunked into the chocolate sauce until fully coated.
For serving, the vendor places the gooey momos on a paper plate, tops them with Cadbury Gems and KitKat pieces, and adds an extra drizzle of chocolate syrup. According to the Instagram post, these chocolate momos are available in Vivek Vihar, Delhi, priced at Rs 300.
"This is called your worst nightmare coming to life. Enough Insta for today," commented one momo enthusiast. Other reactions included “justice for momos” and “RIP momos.” Clearly, this fusion experiment didn’t sit well with die-hard momo fans.
