Viral video: Kerala man turns passport booklet into phone directory

A rather unusual and amusing incident occurred in Kerala, as captured in a viral video shared on the microblogging platform X. In this peculiar scenario, a passport, which was submitted for renewal, turned out to be far from the ordinary travel document.

According to the user @Nationalist2575, who posted the video, a Passport Officer in Kerala had a surprise when reviewing a passport renewal application. To the officer's astonishment, the last pages of the passport booklet had been ingeniously transformed into a telephone directory.




The video quickly garnered attention and sparked a wave of humorous responses from internet users. One user couldn't help but imagine the bewildered expression on an immigration officer's face if they had to stamp this unconventional passport. It certainly added a new twist to the concept of "travel documents."

While the incident may have amused many, some users pointed out that altering a passport in such a manner is actually a punishable offense as per the law.
