"Mohammad Arif, a mechanic from Jharkhand, transformed an old Maruti 800 into a stunning replica of the Lamborghini car by spending just Rs 4 lakh," a post on Indian Tech & Infra read.
Maruti 800 to Lamborghini like car
Mohammad Arif reportedly spent around Rs 4 lakh to complete this incredible Maruti 800 transformation—a tiny fraction of what a real Lamborghini costs. Unlike professional custom garages that rely on ready-made body kits, Arif hand-crafted most modifications himself, cutting, welding, and shaping panels to achieve the aggressive supercar-inspired styling. To give the compact Maruti a low-slung, wide stance, Arif made significant structural changes. The tall, boxy body was stripped down, wheel arches were flared, and lightweight fiberglass panels were used to create sharp, angular design lines without adding extra weight. The car now features a large rear wing, deep front splitters, and 16-inch alloy wheels, replacing the original 12-inch ones.

The transformation extends to the interior, which has been converted into a sporty two-seater cabin with a sunroof—something the original Maruti 800 never had. Custom LED headlamps and a striking neon green paint finish complete the supercar look.
Under the hood, the car still runs on the stock 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine, producing around 37–40 bhp and 56–59 Nm of torque. While it may not match a Lamborghini’s performance, Arif’s creative “desi supercar” has captured the imagination of car enthusiasts and gone viral across social media platforms.
