Viral video: IndiGo pilot leads 'concert in the sky,' bringing Coldplay vibes with 'a sky full of stars'

Coldplay delivered their biggest-ever concerts in Ahmedabad this week, and fans are still buzzing with excitement! Thousands of people flew into Gujarat to catch the iconic British band performing at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The shows were a visual and musical spectacle, with fans grooving under a confetti of lights, making the nights truly unforgettable.

But the magic wasn’t just at the stadium—it even took off mid-air with IndiGo airlines.

A concert in the sky

A now-viral video shows IndiGo Captain Pradeep Krishnan interacting with passengers on a Pune-Ahmedabad flight filled with Coldplay fans. “How many of you are going to the Coldplay concert? How many of you have two extra tickets?” he joked, bringing cheers and laughter from the excited travellers.



The passengers even recreated Coldplay’s iconic ‘sky full of stars’ moment by switching on their phone flashlights in the dimmed cabin. It turned into an impromptu pre-concert celebration in the air!

Two nights of pure magic

Coldplay performed two consecutive shows at the Narendra Modi Stadium as part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour. These performances marked their final stop in India after earlier shows in Mumbai.

Led by Chris Martin, alongside Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey, the band created a magical atmosphere that left fans spellbound.

Gujarat Police ensures top-notch security

Managing such a massive event required extensive security measures. The Gujarat Police deployed over 3,800 officers, installed 400 CCTV cameras, and positioned plainclothes officers, including female staff, at the venue.

“Metal detectors, crime branch teams, and continuous CCTV monitoring ensured everything went smoothly,” said Ahmedabad Police JCP Neeraj Kumar Badgujar.
