Viral video: Fast & Furious, Meerut style – Groom becomes action hero to recover stolen cash garland

A 26-year-old groom from Dungrawali village in Meerut became an unexpected hero when he chased down a thief who stole a cash garland made of Rs 50 notes during his pre-wedding rituals. The incident, which took place on Saturday, went viral after a video was shared online on Monday.


Dev Kumar, the groom, was on his way to a temple with his family when a thief snatched the garland from his nephew, Vansh Kumar, and sped off in a mini-truck. Without hesitation, Dev jumped onto a passing motorcycle and went after the thief on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.


After a short chase, Dev managed to leap onto the moving truck, climb through the window, and force the driver to stop. With some help from others, Dev was able to retrieve the garland.

The family decided not to file any charges, and the thief was let off. The video of the chase has received mixed reactions online, with some praising Dev's bravery while others questioning the risks involved.
