As the India vs Pakistan cricket clash continues to escalate after Suryakumar & Co refused to shake hands with Pakistani cricketers, former players of the rival nation have hit a new low, from taking political jibes to abusing.

Another controversy has erupted after the former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf made a derogatory remark at the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav during live TV show.
Speaking on Samaa TV, Yousuf called India's T20I skipper Suryakumar as 'Suar' (Pig), which has now sparked outrage amongst the Indian fans. He said, “India cannot escape their castle of illusion. Their captain, Suarkumar Yadav…” before being interrupted by the anchor, who corrected him: “No, his name is Suryakumar Yadav.”

Yousuf repeated the slur, saying, “Yeah, that’s what I said. Suarkumar Yadav. India should be ashamed of itself because of its shenanigans to win matches: keeping the Umpire in cohorts and torturing the referee to act according to them. There is a limit to everything.”

The incident came in the aftermath of India’s win over Pakistan, where Suryakumar carried his bat in a tense chase of 128 runs, sealing victory with an unbeaten knock. The contest was played under strained diplomatic circumstances, with ties between the neighbours already hit by a terror attack on India in April that killed innocent civilians and a subsequent war-like situation that worsened relations.

This is not the first time Mohammad Yousuf has sparked controversy on live television. Back in 2016, during a heated debate on Mohammad Amir’s return to international cricket after serving a ban for the 2010 spot-fixing scandal, Yousuf clashed with former PCB chief Ramiz Raja.

The exchange quickly escalated when Ramiz took an indirect swipe, remarking that “people should stop lying once they grow a beard.” Yousuf retaliated on air, dismissing Raja as nothing more than an “English teacher,” leading to an all-out verbal spat.
