The former operator further detailed that five Pakistani fighter jets, including an F-16, were downed, along with two SAAB aircraft—one on the ground and one in the air—and that the Indian Air Force destroyed six radar installations and nine terrorist camps during the operation.
Defence Minister says we may witness Op Sindoor part 2 or 3
On a visit to Morocco over the weekend Defense Minister Rajnath Singh told the Indian diaspora that we could witness Op Sindoor part 2 or 3 if another terrorist attack happens. Singh also declined to disclose the number of terrorists killed in the operation, noting it could spark unwarranted celebrations. He reiterated that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) would eventually become part of India peacefully.
Singh shared that after the Pahalgam massacre, he held a meeting with top security officials, and the service chiefs confirmed readiness for any government decision. Following a meeting with Prime Minister Modi, the armed forces were authorized to take action, leading to successful strikes 100 km inside Pakistan, including the destruction of Jaish-e-Mohammed hideouts. A senior JeM member later claimed that Masood Azhar’s family was wiped out in the attack.
Singh stressed that India’s response targeted terrorists, not individuals based on religion. Regarding PoK, he predicted that it would join India on its own, citing growing support within the region. He also recalled his previous statement that PoK's integration would happen without conflict, with the region eventually affirming, "Main bhi Bharat hoon."
