Viral video: Brand new car reaches home, runs into a row of parked bikes

It was a brand new car reaching home, its polish shining and a garland over its hood. But the moment it entered the gates all hell broke loose.

This is from a video clip shared on Twitter by user Sqn Ldr Vinod Kumar (Retd.) The CCTV footage started with a man reaching the gate of an apartment complex from the outside, throw open the gates and motion to a car to drive inside.

A swanky Tata Nexon then grandly enters the gate, lights on. What happens next is bizzarre. The car swerves too much to the left with a sudden burst of speed, ran over several bikes in the parking lot, and almost turns turtle before coming to a halt with one wheel still on the fallen bikes.


At this the man at the gate and another person in the uniform of a security guard rushes to the driver's aid.

"What a grand arrival home," the caption read. It did not say when or where it happened or who was driving the car.

Comments came in thick and fast. People started wondering how the car came so far without crashing into others along the way.

A few tried to figure out what the mistake the driver made to hit so many bikes at one go.

And some others came up with their light takes on the incident.
