Vijay’s TVK surges in Tamil Nadu elections: Prashant Kishor’s 'save this video' prediction resurfaces as party crosses 100 seats

Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has emerged as a formidable force in Tamil Nadu election results 2026 as his party has crossed the 100-seat mark, the Election Commission Data showed. If TVK wins, this would be a stunning rise for the debut party, posing a big challenge to key parties DMK and AIADMK.

Amid TVK's lead in Tamil Nadu elections, an old video of former poll strategist and Jan Suraaj chief Prashant Kishor had emerged in which he made similar predictions. What is surprising is that the predictions made a year ago were that Vijay's TVK may win by contesting alone in the state.

TVK's Vijay eminent in Tamil Nadu?

Prashant Kishor, who was the special political advisor for Vijay, had earlier told Tamil Nadu-based Thanthi TV that there are high chances of Vijay winning in the state if he decides to go solo.



"Yes, absolutely. Keep this video and play it when results are out," he said, when he was asked whether Vijay's TVK can actually win 118 seats, which is the majority mark required to form the government in Tamil Nadu.

'Save this video'

Prashant Kishor can be heard saying, "Save this video, if Vijay goes alone, he will win the majority on his own." He said this in an interview given to a YouTube channel.



In a TVK rally almost a year ago he said, "Currently, MS Dhoni is the most popular Bihari in Tamil Nadu, but after a year I will be the most popular person from my State in Tamil Nadu if I make TVK win." He further said, "I am here to make TVK win."

TVK leading in Tamil Nadu

The remarks of Prashant Kishor are going viral on social media platforms when TVK is leading in surging in over 100 out of the 234 seats in the state, far ahead of both the heavyweight regional alliances: DMK and AIADMK. Prashant was roped in by Vijay in Tamil Nadu for his debut elections in the state. According to a report in Deccan Herald, the actor felt that Kishor's inputs and strategy could prove valuable during the elections.
