The much-awaited love drama, "Kushi," starring Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is all set to release in theatres across India on September 1.

The unit has been busy shooting for the film, and today the makers announced the official release date with a new poster. It was shared by both lead actors, Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, on their respective social media handles. The poster features a lovely vibe and prominently displays the release date.




'Kushi' was initially announced in 2019, and production on the movie started in April 2022. Subsequently, the makers also unveiled the movie title in May 2022. The film, directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, has already generated a lot of buzz among fans with its beautiful Kashmir backdrop and the dynamic pairing of the two actors. With the announcement of the release date, the film's promotions are expected to kick off soon.

The movie will be in direct competition with the 'Soorarai Pottru' remake starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, which was co-produced by actor Suriya and his wife and actor Jyotika. Apart from Samantha and Vijay, the film also features Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Jayaram, Lakshmi, Vennela Kishore, and Rahul Ramakrishna in supporting roles.

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was last seen in the Amazon Prime Video original 'Yashoda,' will soon be seen in the Telugu film ‘Shaakuntalam’ as a leading lady named Shakuntala. Additionally, she will also feature in the upcoming TV series ‘Citadel,’ directed by Raj and DK.

On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in the highly anticipated pan-Indian film 'Liger,' directed by Puri Jagannadh, alongside Ananya Panday. Unfortunately, the film did not meet expectations at the box office.
