Video showing Lucknow woman destroying roadside diya stalls goes viral; case registered
The Uttar Pradesh Police have registered a case against a woman seen destroying roadside diya stalls on Diwali in a viral video. Many netizens have criticised the woman for her behaviour. The incident took place in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar.

Although it is unclear why the woman destroyed the roadside diya shops, some reports stated that she was not happy with them being set up in front of her house and had earlier asked shopkeepers to remove the stalls. After the shopkeepers did not remove their stalls, the woman allegedly broke the stalls and destroyed the diyas while a crowd gathered around her was watching the whole incident. According to the police, the woman has been identified as Anju Maurya. The police said the woman took the step in a rage.
