Family denies crores claim, says amount was much lower
Sikander Singh, the groom’s brother, rejected the viral claim and clarified the actual spending. Speaking to India Today, he said, “My brother runs a truck business in Australia. The marriage was on February 14. We celebrated by showering money, but it was around Rs 2 lakh. Social media exaggerated it into crores, which is wrong.”Event organisers say total cash was around Rs 4.5 lakh
The event manager and DJ associated with the wedding also said the total cash used in the celebration was about Rs 4.5 lakh, including some dollar notes.
