Veteran Telugu cinema Actor, Director, Producer Vallabhaneni Janardhan passes away
Vallabhaneni Janardhan (68), a well-known Telugu cinema actor, director, and producer, died on Thursday, December 29, 2022, while receiving treatment for an illness at Apollo hospitals in Hyderabad.

Mr. Janardhan was born on September 25, 1959, in the hamlet of Pothunuru, near Eluru. He is the son-in-law of renowned filmmaker Vijaya Bapineedu. He rose to prominence after appearing in Chiranjeevi's “Gang Leader” and in the majority of Vijaya Bapineedu's flicks. He also appeared alongside Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, and others. His daughter works as a fashion designer, while his son works as a software engineer in the United States. The Telugu cinema industry was shocked and saddened at Janardhan's death.
Janardhan has worked in over 100 films in his career and is quite picky. While Janardhan worked hard to carve his own path as a director, he appeared in a number of films directed by his father-in-law. ‘Surya IPS’, ‘Stuartpuam Dongalu’, and ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’ were among the films in which he had pivotal parts, while ‘Anveshita’ was his first entry into television. His daughter Abhinaya and son Avinash survive him.
