Veteran actor Prabhu hospitalised for kidney stones treatment, to be discharged in a few days
Prabhu, a veteran actor, was hospitalised in Chennai after complaining of severe stomach pain. He underwent a laser surgery to remove kidney stones.

Prabhu is one of the most in-demand actors in the South. He is currently seen in supporting roles in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films.
The scans revealed that Prabhu had kidney stones. The stones were removed with the help of laser endoscopy. According to the medical bulletin, Prabhu is stable and recovering from surgery. The doctors also revealed that he would be subjected to routine check-ups before being released.
Prabhu is a well-known actor and producer who primarily works in Tamil cinema. He is Sivaji Ganesan’s son. Prabhu made his acting debut with Sangili in 1982. He played a hero in over 200 films and was considered one of the top actors of the 1980s. He is now appearing in South films as a supporting actor. Prabhu was most recently seen in Thalapathy Vijay’s “Varisu”, which was directed by Vamshi Paidipally. He will next be seen in Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2 by Mani Ratnam. The period drama will be released in theatres in April 2023.
