Veena Kapoor's son Sachin killed mother by smashing her head with baseball bat: Juhu police

In a horrific incident, veteran actress Veena Kapoor, 74, was brutally killed by her son Sachin Kapoor over a property dispute. According to media reports, Sachin repeatedly smashed his mother's head with a baseball bat and threw her dead body in a river. The Juhu police have arrested the son, and servant Chhotu alias Lalukumar Mandal, for killing the actress after interrogation.

As per the Juhu Police investigation, Sachin killed his mother over a property dispute. The security supervisor of the Kalpataru Society, Veena’s residence, informed the police that the senior actress had gone missing. Following a complaint, Juhu Police initiated an investigation. During the probe, police located Veena’s phone near her apartment while that of her son in Panvel.

The police summoned Sachin (43) and Chhotu (25) to the police station. Following a strict interrogation, Sachin confessed to the crime and said he killed his mother in a fit of rage by hitting her repeatedly on her head with a baseball bat. He confessed he was having a property dispute with his mother, which pushed him to commit the heinous crime, after which he dumped Veena’s body in a river in the Raigad district.


Several TV actors expressed their shock over the news on social media. Speaking to the media, Neelu Kohli said she saw Veena was fighting the property dispute since she’d known her. Neelu added that the news of her murder has shocked her, and she couldn’t eat after hearing the news.
