Ved OTT release: Riteish and Genelia’s romantic drama set to stream on OTT, know when and where to watch

Riteish Deshmukh’s directorial debut Ved which stars him as the lead with wife and actress Genelia D’Souza is set to be released on OTT. The Marathi film which broke the box office record and emerged as the top-engrossing Marathi film of the year will be released on Disney+Hotstar.

The movie will be released on the OTT platform after a long wait. Disney+Hotstar.took to Twitter and announced the release date of Ved.

The streaming platform shared the official trailer of the movie and captioned the post as "Pyaar ke pagalpan ki koi seema nahi hoti. #Ved streaming from April 28.”

Apart from Riteish being the director of Ved, Genelia is the producer of the movie which is made under their production house, Mumbai Film Company. Jiya Shankar and Ashok Saraf play secondary leads in the movie. The film will stream in Marathi and Hindi on Disney+Hotstar.

Ved’s performance in theatres
According to reports, Ved had a very strong opening weekend of Rs 10 crore net in India, one of the highest for any Marathi film.

The movie had a good run in March and earned a whopping Rs 61 crore in India alone. If we take a look at its worldwide earning then it made a gross of Rs 73 crore making it the second-highest-grossing Marathi film of all time after the 2016 blockbuster Sairat.

Apart from Riteish and Genelia’s excellent chemistry, the movie also has superstar Salman Khan in a cameo. This movie is Genelia’s debut in the Marathi film industry.
