'Varisu' Box office Collection: 'Varisu' becomes Vijay's highest-grossing movie, surpasses Rs. 300 crores globally

South Indian actor Vijay Chandrasekhar’s 'Varisu' has earned more than Rs 300 crore worldwide, according to the production house making it Vijay’s highest-grossing movie. The family drama, which debuted alongside Ajith's Thunivu, has won the epic box office battle.

Varisu's production company, Sri Venkateswara Creations, revealed the film's latest box office figures on Monday. The family drama received positive reviews from critics and audiences of all types. Vijay's family drama took a long time to break into the 300 crore mark after breaking the Rs 250 crore mark in 11 days. At the end of day 26, the film had reportedly earned over Rs 300 crores globally, and the makers have unveiled a new poster to confirm the film's success.

'Varisu' has reportedly earned more than Rs 50 crores in Kerala and Telugu states, bolstering the film's box office collection. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, 'Varisu' (Rs 135 crores) has surpassed 'Bigil' collections (Rs 132 crores) and is on track to surpass 'Master' as the actor's best in the state (Rs 142 crores). Vijay's entertaining film has also performed well in the international market, earning nearly Rs 90 crores.


'Varisu' has become one of Tamil cinema's most successful films. Rajinikanth's 2.0 (Rs 700 crore+) is at the top of the list, followed by Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1 (Rs 450 crore+) and Vikram (Rs 400 crore+). Varisu has the potential to become Tamil cinema's fourth highest-grossing film.

'Varisu,' directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is about a businessman who suffers from a disease and is forced to choose his business heir from among his three sons. Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Yogi Babu, Shaam, Srikanth, and Ganesh Venkatram play supporting roles alongside Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna.
