Vande Bharat Express: Route 'Howrah to New Jalpaiguri' train to run from Jan 1. All details here

The 22301/22302 Howrah-New Jalpaiguri Vande Bharat Express will begin commercial service on January 1, 2023. Except for Wednesday, West Bengal's first semi-high-speed train will run six days a week. When it is in commercial operation, the train will take 7.5 hours to travel the 600-mile trip.

Passengers travelling to New Jalpaiguri can now make reservations online using the Passenger Reservation System (PRS). However, concessionary booking is not accepted on this train. This semi-fast train has a tatkal quota.

The new Vande Bharat Express from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri is expected to reduce travel time by three hours when compared to existing trains on the route. The Vande Bharat Express will stop at three stations along its route: Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Malda Town, and Barsoi. The 78 seats in each chair vehicle will be separated into two rows, with the specially-made tables being the major draw.
