Vaathi/Sir Box Office Collection Day 5: Dhanush starrer beats both Shehzada and Ant-Man, check the box office report

Released in Telugu and Tamil, Vaathi/Sir minted over Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend, thus getting far ahead of Shehzada and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania. The film, produced by Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas, also stars Samyuktha in a key role. Venky Atluri directed the film Vaathi.
Vaathi grossed Rs 2.06 crore in Telugu and Rs 1.72 crore in Tamil on Day 5, bringing its total India collection to Rs 43.85 crore. Vaathi's worldwide earnings stood at Rs 56.95 crore.
Vaathi is centred on Balamurugan, a third-year junior lecturer at an institute. He opposes institutes that provide children with education in exchange for business profits.
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan's Shehzada has struggled at the box office. The film earned around Rs 2 crore, bringing its total box office earnings to around Rs 24 crore in 5 days.
Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, has surpassed the Rs 1000 crore mark at the global box office. The film became the first Bollywood film to achieve the feat and is still running successfully in theatres.
