Uttarakhand Police takes legal action against man who rode bull while drunk in Rishikesh; Watch

Uttarakhand police took to social media on May 8 and informed that they took legal action against the man who rode a bull on the streets of the Tapovan area in Rishikesh while drunk. In the video shared on Twitter, the police said: “Taking cognizance of the video circulated on social media about a drunk youth riding on a bull in Tapovan Rishikesh late night while taking legal action against the youth, the youth was warned not to misbehave with animals in this way in future.”

As per reports, the man in the video tried to create a viral video by riding a bull on the streets at midnight while misbehaving with the animal. Uttarakhand police also warned the youth against misbehaving with animals in the future. Law enforcement not only warned people against such stunts but also informed the public about the entire incident which took place on May 5.




The video received mixed reactions, as some found it offensive while others drew comparisons to Jallikattu and argued that the young man's actions did not warrant legal consequences. Jallikattu is an occasion where a bull is released into a crowd, and participants attempt to grab onto the bull's back hump as it tries to escape.

Last month, in Pardeshipura, Indore, an inebriated man ascended a water tank and caused a disturbance that lasted several hours after nearby residents notified the authorities for assistance. Eventually, the police were able to extract the man with the aid of municipal corporation personnel. Despite the locals' pleas for him to descend, the man continued to wander around on top of the tank.
