US singer Lizzo pays tribute to Sir James Galway
After getting the opportunity to play a duet with her musical idol, US singer Lizzo has written a tribute for fellow flutist, Sir James Galway.

The singer has also written a gushing tribute for the fellow flautist. This comes as the duo had performed at the fashion event in New York on Monday night.
Talking about their experience during rehearsals, Sir James said, "It was amazing - she is a very good player."
Galway "really enjoyed" the gig and praised the performance of Lizzo, Belfast-born 83-year-old musician told the BBC's Good Morning Ulster programme.
Sir James, who is nicknamed "the man with the golden flute", is a world-renowned classical musician. Galway earlier claimed to be number-one fan of Lizzo. This shows that the adoration is mutual.
On Wednesday night, Lizzo, in an Instagram post, shared a clip of her playing with Sir James. She said that he had "changed the trajectory" of her life.
Lizzo wrote that when she was 11 and getting acquainted with the flute, she needed a challenge and found it in the 1976 album ‘The Man With The Golden Flute’ by Sir James.
She added: "Now, years later I had the honour to play beside Sir James Galway, and receive lessons from him and even play his alto flute. I can confidently say I wouldn't be the musician I am today without his influence. Thank you for everything this week. You are truly the King of Flutes and I can't wait to play with you again."
