Why was Alexis Wilkins called a ‘Mossad honeypot’?
In 2025, reports stated that Alexis Wilkins filed three defamation lawsuits against MAGA influencers Elijah Schaffer, Kyle Seraphin, and Sam Parker, accusing them of spreading conspiracy theories portraying her as an Israeli "Mossad honeypot agent" to manipulate the FBI chief. Alexis Wilkins sued former federal agent-turned podcaster Kyle Seraphin in a $5 million defamation case. In his podcast, Kyle Seraphin claimed that Kash Patel's girlfriend was a "former Mossad agent" dispatched to entice and expose him, claiming that Wilkins was a "honeypot" trying to manipulate Patel.ALSO READ: Russia plague scare: US lawmaker invokes Ukraine bio labs after Irkutsk lab death; worker had broken test tube. Why did Alexis Wilkins link the claims to a wider ‘foreign’ operation?
In March 2026, Wilkins went further, claiming that the online attacks against her were part of what she described as a “foreign-linked influence network” targeting both her and the Trump administration. In a lengthy X thread, she alleged that the network was designed to deepen divisions within the Republican Party and undermine President Donald Trump’s agenda. She pointed to figures including Candace Owens, former Trump adviser Michael Flynn and former counterterrorism official Joe Kent.

'I was targeted in something I knew was far from organic,' Wilkins continued. 'This level of media is isolating, unwanted and unwarranted. There was nobody to help, nobody to jump in and say "this is a false op" and help me.'
'This is about creating chaos in the Republican Party,' Wilkins then alleged. 'It's about the organized effort to lose Republicans the midterms and subvert President Trump's agenda, and I have the data for you to see.' She alleged that Candance Owens, former Trump advisor Michael Flynn and former counterterrorism chief Joe Kent are all involved in a Russian-backed effort to fracture the president's base with antisemitic conspiracy theories.
'The goal of this operation is not to win a political argument, but to make the fractures feel more permanent. To make Republicans feel their movement is over. To make soldiers feel the war [in Iran] isn't worth fighting. To make the government and its officials look unstable and create media that creates more problematic media,' she claimed.
What happened to the lawsuits?
In Wilkins' case against conservative influencer Elijah Schaffer, a federal judge allowed the $5 million defamation lawsuit to proceed after rejecting his bid to dismiss it in February 2026. The case remained active, with the parties entering settlement discussions. She separately sued former Utah Senate candidate Sam Parker, accusing him of portraying her as an Israeli spy. Importantly, none of these proceedings established that Wilkins was a Mossad agent: the lawsuits concern whether the defendants’ statements about her were defamatory, and surviving a motion to dismiss does not amount to a finding that the underlying allegations were true or false. Now, as Alexis Wilkins and Patel prepare to marry, the unusual controversy surrounding their relationship has resurfaced alongside their engagement announcement.
