A US F-15E Strike Eagle reportedly went down in Kuwait today as the conflict between Iran, Israel and the US escalated, a CNN report stated. As per the report and several videos on social media, the fighter jet came spiralling downward before crashing, with flames visible from one of its engines. However, the pilot, reportedly an American national, is said to be safe. The footage captures the twin-engine fighter aircraft descending rapidly while trailing fire, before disappearing from view as it crashes. The engine appears to be ablaze during the aircraft’s final moments in the air.

Several Figher Jets Crashed: Kuwait Army confirms

The official spokesman for Kuwait's Ministry of Defense stated that a number of American warplanes crashed this morning, confirming that their crews were all saved.

He explained that the competent authorities immediately began search and rescue procedures, and the crews were evacuated and transferred to the hospital to check on their health and provide the necessary medical care, noting that their condition is stable.

The official spokesperson added that direct coordination took place with the friendly American forces regarding the circumstances of the incident, and joint technical measures were taken.

He stressed that the relevant authorities are following up on the investigations to determine the causes of the accident, calling for information to be obtained from official sources.

Reason behind F-15 crash in Kuwait

Preliminary regional reports suggest the incident took place near a US military installation in Kuwait. Some initial accounts have raised the possibility of a “friendly fire” element, although there has been no official confirmation to substantiate that claim.
