During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Urvashi said, “There is a temple in my name in Uttarakhand. If one visits Badrinath, there is a ‘Urvashi temple’ right next to it.” When asked if people visit the temple for blessings, she replied, “Ab mandir hai toh woh hi toh karenge (It’s a temple, they will do that only).”
She also claimed that Delhi University students garland her photos and call her “Damdamamai.” Urvashi insisted she was serious and even pointed to news articles to back her claim. She added that she hopes a second temple will be built in South India because of her popularity there.
Naturally, the actress’s claim has sparked a flurry of memes and comments on social media.
