UPTET Application Form 2026: Check OTR registration last date, official site, fee, eligibility and how to apply

The registration for Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026 will start today and it is being done by Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC). The commission has also introduced the One Time Registration (OTR) scheme this time and the UPTET registration will continue till April 26, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for UPTET on the official website upessc.up.gov.in. The UPTET examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 2, 3, and 4, 2026.

UPTET Application Form 2026: How to apply for registration

It is important to note that interested candidates won't be able to apply for the UPTET examination without going through the OTR process, according to a TOI report. In the OTR process, the candidates have to fill in their details and then generate the OTR ID. For UPTET registration this year, candidates need to follow these steps:


Complete One-Time Registration (OTR): Visit the official OTR portal, enter your basic personal details, and create login credentials.

Upload Documents: Submit scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other required documents as per specifications.

Generate OTR ID: Verify your details and complete registration to receive a unique OTR ID.

Fill UPTET Application Form: Log in using the OTR ID, provide educational qualifications, select exam level (Primary/Upper Primary), and enter other required details.

Pay Application Fees: Make the payment through available online modes to complete the application process.

Submit and Print Confirmation: Review all details carefully, submit the form, and download or print the confirmation page for future reference.

UPTET 2026 notification: Eligibility criteria

UPTET is a mandatory qualification for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and aided schools across Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility criteria vary depending on the exam level:

Primary Level (Classes 1–5): Candidates must have completed senior secondary education (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and possess a Diploma in Elementary Education (minimum two years) or an equivalent qualification.

Upper Primary Level (Classes 6–8): Candidates must hold a graduation degree with at least 50% marks along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (minimum two years) or a B.Ed degree.

Candidates meeting these criteria can proceed to complete their UPTET registration 2026, starting with the One-Time Registration (OTR) process, followed by filling the application form and submitting required documents.

Candidates will require Aadhaar card, 10th and 12th marksheets, graduation marksheet, training qualification certificate, caste certificate (if applicable), passport size photo, signature, and identity proof.
