The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued the official notification for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Statistical Officer (ASO) and Assistant Research Officer (ARO). As per the notification, a total of 929 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.

According to the notification, the application process will begin on April 21, 2026, and the last date to submit the online form and pay the application fee is May 11, 2026.

Vacancy Details

The recruitment drive aims to fill 929 posts of Assistant Statistical Officer and Assistant Research Officer across various departments in Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Only applicants with a valid PET score will be considered for shortlisting.

Educational Qualification

Applicants should hold a postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics, or related subjects from a recognised university.

Additional Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge
• Proficiency in Hindi (Devanagari script)

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 21 and 40 years of age, as per the rules mentioned in the notification.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹25 for all categories. Payment can be made through online modes such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on a written examination. Only candidates shortlisted on the basis of their PET 2025 score will be eligible to appear for the main exam.
