Upset with demanding fan, Virat Kohli comes to Kamlesh Nagarkoti’s defence

Former India captain Virta Kohli stood up for his teammate Kamlesh Nagarkoti during the tour game between Leicestershire and India at the Uptonsteel Cricket Ground, as the Indian crowd was giving a tough time to the young pace bowler Kamlesh Nagarkoti.

On the second day of the game, while Nagarkoti was busy fielding as a substitute, one of the fans was pestering Nagarkoti for clicking a photo with him. Kohli saw the man making fun of his teammate and immediately came to rescue Nagarkoti as the fan misbehaved.

The fan was heard replying to Kohli that it was unfair of Nagarkoti to not give him a click when he had taken a day off at office to specially come see the match. The fan was unhappy as the bowler did not oblige despite several requests. To which Kohli responded that the players have come here to play matches and not get clicked by fans.

The Indian team was leading by 82 runs by the end of the second day of the game.

India earlier declared a total of 246 for 8 wickets with KS Bharat scoring an unbeaten 70 runs.

Leicestershire’s Roman Walker led the bowlers’ chart by taking 5 wickets while Will Davis took 2.

Leicestershire managed to get a total of 244 runs in reply with Rishabh Pant scoring brilliant 76 supported by Walker and Rishi Patel with 34 each.
