UPSC Mains Registration 2025: Dates, exam schedule, and how to apply online

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Preliminary 2025 and released the registration schedule for the Mains examination. Candidates can check the official notice at upsc.gov.in.

A total of 14,161 candidates have qualified to appear for the UPSC CSE Mains 2025, which will include both a written examination and a personality test/interview.

UPSC Mains Registration starting and closing date

The application window for the Mains exam will be open from June 16 to June 25 on the official UPSC website. Applicants are required to pay a registration fee of ₹200, while female candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempted from paying the fee.

Steps to register

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website (upsconline.nic.in or upsc.gov.in).

Step 2: Log in using your One-Time Registration (OTR) credentials.

Step 3: Fill out the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Mains exam.

Step 4: Upload required documents and pay the application fee (if applicable).

Step 5: Review and submit before June 25, 2025.

This follows the conclusion of the preliminary exam (held on May 25, 2025), with the Mains scheduled to begin on August 22, 2025.
