UPSC CSE 2025 marks out: Anuj Agnihotri secures Rank 1 with 1071, check scores of top 10 candidates

The written exam was held in August 2025, followed by the Personality Test interviews conducted between December 2025 and February 2026. Based on the final merit list, 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and several Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ Central Services. UPSC has now released the marks of top 10 candidates.

Category-wise selection
As per the official statement issued through the Press Information Bureau, the 958 recommended candidates include 317 from the general category, 104 from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 306 from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), 158 from Scheduled Castes (SC) and 73 from Scheduled Tribes (ST).Vacancies across services
For the CSE 2025 recruitment cycle, the government had announced 1,087 vacancies across various services. This includes 180 positions in the IAS, 55 in the IFS, and 150 in the IPS. Additionally, 507 vacancies fall under Central Services Group ‘A’, while 195 posts are in Group ‘B’ services.Reserve list and pending verification
UPSC has also prepared a consolidated reserve list of 258 candidates in accordance with Rule 20(4) and Rule 20(5) of the Civil Services Examination Rules 2025. The reserve list includes 129 candidates from the general category, 26 from EWS, 86 from OBC, eight from SC, and six from ST, along with three candidates from PwBD categories.The commission added that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates remains provisional, pending document verification and other formalities. Meanwhile, the results of two candidates have been kept on hold.
