UPPSC rolls out strict security measures for RO/ARO exam; Check details

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is gearing up to conduct the preliminary examination for the 2023 recruitment of Review Officers (RO) and Assistant Review Officers (ARO) on July 27. In preparation, a crucial meeting was held on Tuesday at the Commission's office, attended by nodal officers from all 75 districts across the state.

This year, more than 10.76 lakh candidates have applied for just 411 posts, with the exam set to take place at 2,382 centres statewide. Officials were briefed on strict protocols to prevent cheating and paper leaks—a response to last year’s exam held on February 11, which was cancelled due to a major leak.

To ensure transparency and security, biometric verification and iris scanning will be mandatory for all candidates. Admit cards will be issued ten days before the exam. Authorities have significantly ramped up surveillance, including CCTV monitoring, flying squads, and online surveillance cells at every centre. Sector magistrates will oversee operations on ground.


Strict action will be taken against any agency responsible for technical failures or breaches. Prayagraj will serve as a major examination hub with 106 centres. According to UPPSC, both candidate convenience and exam integrity are top priorities this year.
