Educational qualification required
Candidates applying for the UP Police Constable and Jail Warder posts must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination recognised by the Government of India from a board established by law. Applicants must possess the required qualification at the time of submitting the application. Selection process
As per the notification, the selection process consists of multiple stages. Candidates will have to clear a written examination followed by scrutiny of documents. Shortlisted candidates will then appear for the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The final stages include a medical examination and preparation of the final merit list.Qualifying marks in written examination
Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written test to be considered for the next stage of selection. The category-wise qualifying marks are 30 per cent for unreserved candidates, 25 per cent for Economically Weaker Section and Other Backward Class candidates, and 20 per cent for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.Application fee
Applicants are required to pay the application fee as prescribed in the notification. The fee is Rs 500 for candidates belonging to the General, EWS and OBC categories, while candidates from the SC and ST categories need to pay Rs 400.
