The arrests came after a local resident lodged a complaint at the Gangoh police station, submitting the video as evidence and calling for strict action. According to police, the incident dates back nearly eight months but only came to light on April 3 following an internal dispute among madrassa staff.

Authorities said the accused had already been removed from their roles soon after the incident. After reviewing the video, police registered an FIR and arrested both men on Saturday morning. During interrogation, the accused reportedly claimed the child had fled the madrassa earlier and was punished after being brought back.
Circle Officer Ashok Kumar Sisodia stated that police moved swiftly once the footage surfaced and began legal proceedings. "A detailed probe is underway and assured that strict action will be taken against those found guilty," he added.
