Each year, UPMSP brings new rules into place to tackle the menace of cheating in exams. This year, students who would be caught cheating or copying will be punished by imposing the National Security Act 1980. Moreover, teachers or professors who would be caught indulging in any malpractice related to an exam could be penalised by implementing the same act. All examination halls will be equipped with CCTV cameras to keep an eye on the students and their activities in order to avoid incidents of cheating.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Education Board announced a change in examination pattern for Class 10 Class. Now, the students will have to answer total 70 marks, out of which 50 will be descriptive and 20 will be objective.
The board in its statement had said that Objective questions of 20 marks will be asked in the UP Board Class 10 exam. These will have to be answered on the OMR sheet.
For the first time, students will get an OMR sheet along with answer booklets. If the students make a mistake in filling up the OMR sheet, the entire 20 marks will be deducted. Therefore, the students have to fill the sheets properly. The OMR sheet will be evaluated by the computer.
Instructions regarding answering the OMR sheet have already been issued by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education.
The UP Board also made a sample OMR sheet for use in the high school examination, as well as instructions for filling it out, available on the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education's website.
