Uorfi Javed asked Uber India on February 21 to do something about the safety of ladies after her Uber driver fled with her bags in Delhi. She resorted to social media to recount the entire experience.


She posted on Twitter about her Uber driver and said that she had the worst experience with Uber in Delhi, that she had hired a cab for 6 hours, and on her way to the airport she stopped for lunch, and that is when the Uber driver fled with her bags. After an hour, the driver returned fully drunk after an interference made by her male colleague.


She also shared a video of her experience on Instagram. She asked Uber to take action to ensure the protection of girls.

After Uber India saw her tweet, they responded by saying that they had escalated the problem to the authorized personnel. They acknowledged that a member of their safety team will contact her as soon as possible.
