According to current forecasts:- April 8: Peak activity with widespread rain, thunderstorms and hailstorms across north, east and central India
- April 9–10: Continued scattered to moderate rainfall in many regions
- April 11 onwards: A fresh western disturbance may again bring rain, especially in northern regions
North India Weather: Rain, Thunderstorms and Hail Alert
States like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are seeing:- Light to moderate rainfall
- Thunderstorms with gusty winds (up to 60 km/h)
- Isolated hailstorms (especially on April 8)
East India Weather Update: Strong Winds and Heavy Rain
Eastern states including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha are experiencing:- Thunderstorms with strong winds (up to 80 km/h)
- Isolated heavy rainfall
- Hailstorm activity in some areas
Northeast India Rain Forecast: Wet Spell for 5 Days
The northeast region (Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, etc.) is likely to see:- Continuous rainfall for the next 5 days
- Thunderstorms and gusty winds
- Heavy rain in isolated areas on April 9–10 and April 12
Central India Weather: Short Spell of Rain
Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will see:- Rain and thunderstorms mainly on April 8–9
- Hailstorm chances on April 8
Why Is This Unseasonal Rain Happening?
Multiple weather systems are active at the same time, including:- A western disturbance over north Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir
- Cyclonic circulations over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh
- An east-west trough stretching across northern India
Temperature Outlook: Heat to Return Soon
- Temperatures will remain normal or slightly below normal for the next 3–4 days
- After April 10–11, temperatures will rise sharply by 4–10°C across many regions
- Heatwave-like conditions may begin to build again in parts of the country
