UK tabloid starts 'Liz Truss vs lettuce' livestream, Anand Mahindra reacts
Among those who apparently believe it wouldn't be too long is the British tabloid Daily Star, and it's running a livestream as a run up to her possible exit.

Liz Truss has managed to stay on for now as prime minister of UK by sacrificing her finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng, but there are serious doubts on how long she would last.
Among those who apparently believe it wouldn't be too long is the British tabloid Daily Star, and it's running a livestream as a run up to her possible exit.
"Can Liz Truss outlast this lettuce?" it asked a post, which has a picture of the PM next to that of an unrefrigerated lettuce.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared a screenshot of a tweet of American political scientist Brian Klaas which said, "I love this country's sense of humo(u)r."
"Great (Brutal) Britain," Mahindra said in his post.

She has hired in his place Jeremy Hunt, who has since indicated that some taxes would go up and tough spending decisions were needed.
Opinion poll ratings are dire for both the ruling Conservative Party and the prime minister personally, Reuters reported, and many of her own lawmakers are asking, not if, but how Truss should be removed. She is now depending on Hunt to help salvage her premiership less than 40 days after taking office.
