UK PM Rishi Sunak's daughter performs kuchipudi at dance festival in London

On Friday, a number of kids, including Anoushka Sunak - daughter of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak - performed kuchipudi in London. Anoushka's performance was a part of "Rang," a part of International Kuchipudi Dance Festival 2022, which is the largest dance festival in the UK. The festival accepts dancers of all ages.

Approximately 100 artists, whose ages ranged from 4 to 85, participated in the event, including live musicians, senior contemporary dancers whose ages were 65+ years and up, wheelchair performer who have learning disabilities, and international scholarship students from Natarang Group, Poland.

Akshata Murty, who is Anoushka's mother, is also the daughter of Narayana Murthy, the Infosys co-founder, who attended the dance performance. The 57th Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the first person of Indian ancestry to hold the position is Rishi Sunak.


The last chancellor, an Indian-born man, broke with tradition by relocating to the smaller flat above 10 Downing Street instead of, the larger one that serves as the Chancellor of Exchequer's house. According to Mr Sunak: they thought it would be fantastic for Chancellor Jeremy Hunt to have that bit more room, so he believes that was the correct thing to do.

Rishi Sunak is the youngest British Prime Minister in 200 years. He is 42 years old. He is the first Hindu to hold the office of the highest state authority, and his desk is ornamented with a statue of Ganesha.
