UGC NET June 2026 admit card date: Check when and where to download your admit cards

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the UGC NET June 2026 admit cards today on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The hall tickets were expected to be issued on June 15, but the release was delayed, leaving candidates awaiting an official update from the agency.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination is scheduled to be held from June 22 to June 30. The exam is conducted to determine eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor, award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and admission to PhD programmes across Indian universities and institutions.

Before the release of the admit cards, NTA issued the exam city intimation slips for registered candidates. These slips inform candidates about the city in which their examination centre is located, helping them plan travel and accommodation arrangements in advance.

However, candidates should note that the city intimation slip is not a substitute for the admit card and cannot be used to gain entry to the examination centre. Only the official admit card will be accepted on exam day.

Once the admit cards are released, candidates are advised to carefully check all the details mentioned on them. In case of any discrepancy, they should immediately contact the relevant authorities for correction.

NTA has also directed candidates to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Failure to produce these documents may result in candidates being denied entry to the examination hall.

Candidates can follow the steps below once the admit card link is activated:

1. Visit the official website: ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
2. Click on the "UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card" link available on the homepage.
3. Enter your application number and date of birth/password.
4. Submit the details and log in to your account.
5. Download the admit card displayed on the screen.
6. Verify all details mentioned on the hall ticket.
7. Take a printout and keep it safely for future use and examination day.
