UGC NET December 2025: Check subject wise exam schedule, shift timings; city intimation slip released

The National Testing Agency will conduct the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test December 2025 session from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, in Computer Based Test mode. Ahead of the examination, the agency has released the city intimation slip and the subject-wise examination schedule, allowing candidates to plan travel, preparation and exam-day arrangements in advance.

The examination will be held over multiple days in two shifts, depending on the subject, with each test conducted in a single three-hour session. The admit card will be issued a few days before the examination.

UGC NET December 2025: Dates, pattern and schedule

The city intimation slip for UGC NET December 2025 is available now. The examination will be conducted between December 31, 2025, and January 7, 2026, in CBT mode. The test will comprise two papers held in a single session with no break. Paper I will have 50 questions on teaching and research aptitude, while Paper II will include 100 questions based on the chosen subject.

UGC NET 2025: What to carry to the exam centre

Candidates must carry the UGC NET admit card and a valid original photo identity proof to the examination centre. Electronic devices, bags and study material are prohibited inside the exam hall. All official notices and updates related to UGC NET December 2025 will be released only by the National Testing Agency through its official website.
