The UGC-NET is a national-level examination that determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is conducted twice a year.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to announce the results for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) 2023 today on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The UGC-NET December 2022 exam was conducted in multiple sessions in February and March this year.

The UGC-NET is a national-level examination that determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges. The exam is conducted twice a year.



To check the results, candidates must visit the official website of NTA ugcnet.nta.nic.in and navigate to the UGC-NET result link. They must then enter their application number, date of birth, and security pin to access their results. The result will contain the candidate's score, the qualifying status for JRF and Assistant Professor, and the cutoff marks for each category.

The candidates can also receive their results via SMS or email by registering themselves on the official website.

NTA will also announce the cut off marks for NET and JRF. The cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying marks that candidates must score to be eligible for the JRF and Assistant Professor post. The cutoff marks vary based on the category of the candidate, the subject of the exam, and the number of candidates who appeared for the exam.

Candidates who qualify for JRF will be eligible for a stipend of Rs 31,000 per month, along with several other benefits, such as an annual contingency grant of Rs 20,000, HRA, and other benefits as per the UGC norms. Candidates who qualify for Assistant Professor will be eligible for teaching jobs in Indian universities and colleges.

The UGC-NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode w.e.f. December 2018 onwards.
