A viral video has been making rounds on the internet which purportedly shows worms which are apparently dropped from the sky are crawling on the cars in China's Beijing. Several users have explained the science behind it while few have claimed it is fake.

Few have speculated it as Animal rain. In the past, similar incidents of strange objects falling from the sky have been reported, such as fish and frogs raining down from the sky. These occurrences are often associated with tornadoes or strong storms, which can suck up objects from the ground and carry them into the atmosphere before dropping them back down to the ground.

However, a section of netizens claimed that the footage is fake. A Chinese journalist by the name of Shen Shwei has been attempting to answer the riddle on Twitter in the meantime. He claimed that the footage was false and that Beijing had not recently experienced rain. Some users asserted that the video was a fake after it became popular, while others insisted that the worms were only on cars and not on the road. However, according to few, this kind of event happens in March and is common.
