Twitter user claims 'Cockroach Daal' served to patient at AIIMS

A Twitter shared a photo clearly shows parts of a dismembered cockroach on a food tray which was served to the patient admitted at the premier institute.

The AIIMS administration here initiated a probe into the complaint.
A four-year old patient at AIIMS was allegedly served a meal in which a cockroach was found. A Twitter user said that this was the first meal served to the child after a major surgery.

“Pathetic and frightening state of affairs at the most prestigious Medical facility in National Capital- Serving ‘Cockroach Daal’ to a 4 year old as first meal post major stomach surgery @aiims_newdelhi… Shocked beyond belief [sic]," Twitter user Sahil Zaidi said.
Zaidi shared a photo clearly shows parts of a dismembered cockroach on a food tray which was served to the patient admitted at the premier institute.


Following the tweet, official sources said, "Hospital authorities have taken a serious note of the incident and are investigating the matter."

The AIIMS administration here initiated a probe into the complaint.
