Twitter experienced a brief outage on Sunday evening at about 7pm after experiencing problems loading tweets. Approximately 2,138 outages were recorded on Twitter on December 11, according to Downdetector.

Sixty-three percent of users stated that the Twitter app was not loading new tweets, 36 percent reported problems with the website, and one percent reported difficulty submitting tweets using both media. Both the Twitter mobile app and the desktop version were affected by the outage.

The outage occurred after the new Twitter Boss Elon Musk stated in a cryptic tweet that “The bots are in for a surprise tomorrow."

This is the second documented Twitter outage since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over the network. On November 4, the microblogging site went down for many hours; at the time, just the desktop version of the platform was impacted. Notably, the outage occurred only one day before Twitter Blue was slated to relaunch at a higher fee for Apple customers.

The claimed failure occurs just one day before the launching of Twitter Blue on December 12. Users will have access to premium features such as blue tick, the ability to publish 1080p videos, edit tweets, and much more through the subscription service.

On the other hand, several users noted that the network went down only on the Jio Network,

Twitter users tweeted about it “Yes I am a Jio user who suffered Twitter down trauma”

Meanwhile, the tale of the Twitter Files continues. Elon Musk revealed further details in 'Twitter Files 3.0,' focusing on the period when former US President Donald Trump's Twitter account was suspended and how Twitter actively complied with FBI efforts to censor messages.

Previously, Musk provided 'Twitter Files' and 'Twitter Files 2.0,' revealing how Twitter received orders from the US President's office to suppress a New York Times report concerning Hunter Biden's laptop. It was also discovered that Twitter workers had created covert blacklists, purposefully suppressing the visibility of specific accounts and even hot topics without alerting users.
