Twitter Blue relaunches with new features. Here’s all about it
Twitter Blue relaunches on December 12. The revised plan will cost the web platform $8, or around Rs 660, and for iPhones, it would cost $11, or nearly Rs 900 for the blue tick verification.

The reason for the price difference is seemingly ‘Apple Tax’ which is a 30% cut Apple takes on all in-app purchases and subscriptions.
The company informed all the new features via tweet to the users. Subscribers will be able to change their handle, display name or profile photo, but if they do, they’ll temporarily lose the blue checkmark until their account is reviewed. The ‘official’ label of twitter will be replaced with a gold checkmark for businesses, and later in the week a grey checkmark for government and multilateral accounts.
"We're relaunching @TwitterBlue on Monday - subscribe on web for USD 8/month or on iOS for USD 11/month to get access to subscriber-only features, including the blue checkmark. The paid features include the blue checkmark, the ability to edit tweets, higher-quality video uploads, and reader mode ," Twitter tweeted on Dec 11.
"Thanks for your patience as we've worked to make Blue better - we're excited and looking forward to sharing more with you soon!" the company said.
The launch of Twitter Blue was postponed earlier in November due to a surge of impersonators who had taken control of the network as disguised versions of people and organisations.
Elon Musk’s twitter takeover saga ended on October 27, when he closed the big purchase of $44 billion to buy the social media platform.
