Actor Tunisha Sharma's last rites to be held today in Mumbai
The final rituals for actress Tunisha Sharma - who died by suicide - will be performed at Mira Road at about 3pm in Mumbai.

On December 23, while filming her TV drama "Ali Baba," the actor died by suicide on set.

In a statement, Tunisha's family said, “Our beloved Tunisha Sharma. With a sorrowful heart, we are informing you that Tunisha Sharma left us for heavenly abode on 24th December 22. We wish for everyone to come and offer their last prayers to the departed soul.”

The cremation facility on Mira Road will perform her cremation. At 3 o'clock, Bhayander East will host the last rites.

An investigation is ongoing into her death after Sharma's mother complained about Tunisha's boyfriend, Sheezan Khan, to the Mumbai Police. A day after she passed away, he was detained on suspicion of aiding her suicide. He was brought before a judge, and a four-day police hold was imposed until December 28. However, according to his attorney, he is innocent of all charges.

Tunisha's mother says Sheezan discarded and exploited her. Sheezan Khan and the deceased actor were in love, and the latter had broken up with her 15 days prior, according to the lawsuit she filed. According to the authorities, Sharma's mother has said that her daughter was depressed and that she committed the terrible act because of Khan.

Sheezan, who is still in police detention, revealed to officers that he was dating Tunisha and claimed that their breakup was the result of age and religious issues. Accused Sheezan Khan reportedly admitted to authorities during questioning that Tunisha had attempted suicide in the recent past, but at that time Sheezan Khan told her mother and saved her.

The family of the actress has accused Sheezan of cheating on Tunisha and engaging in many sexual relationships with other girls at the same time, and the police do not believe his claims. Police believe he is avoiding the real issue by blaming the age gap and religious differences.

On Friday, while filming for the TV series "Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul" in the Vasai region, 20-year-old television and film star Tunisha Sharma allegedly committed suicide. She was discovered hanging in the set's restroom. No suicide notes have been found by police.
