“I grew up around a lot of very simple home remedies. I have always liked [using] besan, curd and turmeric as a face or body pack, and I've also grown up hearing about amla, reetha and shikakai for hair. These are small things, but they stay with you,” she told HT City.
Her choices are less about following a long list of beauty steps and more about sticking to familiar, uncomplicated rituals.
'Less is more' when it comes to beauty
While Triptii likes keeping things simple, she isn't completely against trying something new. What she does avoid, however, is following beauty trends just for the sake of it.Read more - Gujarat, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar passengers, take note: New Amrit Bharat Express to cover 2,532 km; Bhuj-Barauni train gets 20+ stoppages. “Anything that involves doing something extreme to your face or body just because it's trending is probably not for me. I'm very much in the less-is-more camp,” she said.
For the actor, self-care doesn't necessarily mean booking an elaborate treatment or following a complicated routine. Sometimes, keeping things basic works just fine.
Triptii Dimri’s self-care rule: Listen to your body
Working in the film industry can mean long and hectic schedules, and Triptii said one of the biggest lessons she has learnt is the importance of taking time away from the constant demands of work.“I've learnt that I need some time where I'm not performing for anyone, literally or otherwise. Even if it's just five or ten minutes, I like putting my phone away and sitting by myself,” she told HT City.
She also stressed the importance of paying attention to what her body needs instead of constantly pushing herself.
“And physically, I've learnt to listen to my body instead of constantly pushing it. Sleep, food, movement and taking a little time for yourself sound very basic, but when work gets hectic, those are the first things you tend to neglect,” she added.
A cup of tea and good food can lift Triptii’s mood
For Triptii, feeling good doesn't always require a big self-care plan. Sometimes, her mood can be lifted by something as ordinary as good food and a little uninterrupted time.“Good food. It really is that simple for me. A cup of tea, something I'm craving, and some time when nobody needs anything from me can completely change my mood,” she said.
And if there's some tennis involved afterwards, that's an added bonus.
“And if I get to play tennis afterwards, even better. I'm very easily pleased,” Triptii added.
From home remedies to quiet time, Triptii keeps self-care simple
Whether it is a besan, curd and turmeric pack, putting her phone away for a few minutes or enjoying a cup of tea, Triptii's approach to self-care is refreshingly straightforward. For the actor, looking after herself appears to be less about chasing every new beauty trend and more about making space for familiar routines, rest, movement and the small things that make her feel good.
