According to the NSO's preliminary estimates for GDP for the current year, the economy expanded at a rate of 7%, entirely due to the strength of services, which expanded at a rate of 9.1%, faster than recently, while agriculture grew at a rate of 3.5% annually and business expanded at a rate of 4.1%, faster than the 3% average for the sector over the previous five years.
The sector referred to as commerce, lodging, transportation, communications, and services related to broadcasting, however, grew 13.7% in actual terms, on top of 11.1% growth in the prior fiscal.
