Tooth Pari trailer is out. Netflix show depicts unique love story between dentist and vampire

Netflix India has dropped the trailer for upcoming show "Tooth Pari," that shows an unusual love story between a shy dentist and a vampire. Directed by Pratim D Gupta and produced by Endemol Shine India, the show stars Tanya Maniktala as Rumi and Shantanu Maheshwari as Dr. Roy. The story follows their romance, which is complicated by a battle between the human and vampire worlds that unfolds beneath Kolkata.

In the trailer released on Twitter, viewers are introduced to Rumi, who visits Dr. Roy's clinic to fix her broken fang. The two fall in love, but Roy becomes frightened when he discovers Rumi's true identity. The love story is also challenged by opposing forces from the human and vampire worlds, which are revealed to coexist in the city.




The trailer hints at a larger mythology surrounding the vampire world, with a police officer played by Sikandar Kher discovering Rumi's missing fang and realizing the myth about vampires could be true. Revathy appears to play a leader amongst the vampires, adding to the intrigue surrounding the story.

In addition to Maniktala and Maheshwari, the series stars Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Adil Hussain. Maniktala made her acting debut in Mira Nair's international series "A Suitable Boy" in 2020 and has since appeared in the Netflix anthology "Feels Like Ishq" and the SonyLIV series "Chutzpah." Maheshwari made his film debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Gangubai Kathiawadi" in 2022 and has appeared in several dance reality shows.
